Checklists: the fine tuning of event management "The event checklist The checklist is a fundamental tool for the on-the-ground and at-the-moment event management. It is essential in the dynamic management environment. By having a worksheet containing checklists and a navigational aid to find them quickly, the members of event team have access to an important resource. The checklist can be created straight away from a meeting of the event staff. They can be adapted from other events, downloaded off the web and refined with every event. They should be started from the first meeting and recorded. By using the worksheet and placing it on the intranet or web, all team members can have access whenever they are connected to the net. With the use of mobile phones, the checklist can be accessed wherever there is a connection.
